Papier-Mache Paste

Papier-mache paste obviously is great for papier-mache projects, like pinatas. Warm it slightly before using it. It also can be thinned with water and used as a more traditional paste.

What's needed

2 cups flour

1/4 cup sugar

2 quarts warm water

Natural food coloring

Natural flavored extracts or spices

Let's make it

Combine the flour and sugar. Add a bit of warm water to make a thick paste. Slowly add the rest of the water, stirring with each addition. Add food coloring and extracts. Boil, stirring continuously, until the mixture is thick and clear. Pour into the storage container.
