Let's make it
Fill a jar roughly 1/2 to 3/4 way full with grated ginger. Cover with vodka or brandy. Let steep for 3 to 4 weeks or more. Shake every few days for the first week, then occasionally after that. Strain and pour extract into a clean jar. Store in a dark place or the refrigerator. Shelf life is a year, or longer.
