Toasted Nut Extract

What's needed

1 cup hazelnuts, almond, walnuts (toasted, skins removed from hazelnuts)

1 vanilla bean

3/4 cup vodka

Let's make it

Grind or finely chop toasted nuts. Split vanilla bean. Add nuts, vanilla seeds and vanilla bean to container, cover with vodka. Let steep for 1 to 2 months or more. Shake every few days for the first week, then occasionally after that. Strain and pour extract into a clean jar. Store in a dark place or the refrigerator.
