Flour-Based Poster Paint
What's needed
1/4 cup flour
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon liquid starch (matte) or liquid detergent (glossy) per container
Let's make it
Place flour into a pan. Slowly add 1 cup water while stirring to make a smooth paste. Heat, stirring constantly, until paste begins to thicken. Cool. Measure 1/4 cup paste into each small container. Add food coloring and extracts to each container. For a matte finish, add liquid starch. For a glossy finish, add liquid deter�gent. Store covered.
When mixing paint, keep in mind the age of your young artist. As a general rule, younger children require thicker paint and brushes. Adjust water as necessary for your child.
